Science meets aesthetics: Join the Art in Energy Science Competition
Unite!Energy invites researchers to take part in the Art in Energy Science competition. The initiative highlights the visual and aesthetic side of energy-related research – through scientific photography that captures light, motion, reactions, patterns, materials, and more.
The competition is open to anyone involved in or connected to energy research, regardless of discipline or career stage. To enter, participants should:
1 Post their image on Instagram
2 Add a short sentence describing the research context
3 Tag the post with #ArtInEnergyScience
4 Follow the Instagram account @energy_unite
Alternatively, images can be submitted via Instagram direct message.
Deadline for submissions is 31 January 2026.
The top three entries will be featured on the Unite!Energy website and social media. The winning image will be printed on a custom-designed tote bag and awarded a 50 euro prize. All three winners will receive the tote bag.
By entering the competition or tagging a post, participants agree to the use of their image on Unite!Energy communication channels.
